TurboTax’s New Super Bowl Ad… Starring Issa Rae! 

Hard to believe this is TurboTax’s twelfth year premiering a new commercial for the big game… and rest assured, we once again pulled out all the stops.

This time, we teamed up with author, actress and proverbial “real one” Issa Rae!

In her first-ever Super Bowl commercial, Issa showed the world just how easy it is to file your taxes with TurboTax (because honestly, why do things the hard way when you can do ‘em the easy way?) and highlighted the real-life help you can get from one of our thousands of tax experts when you file with TurboTax. 

The spot highlights how in 2025, we shouldn’t have to gather stacks of paperwork and a year’s worth of receipts, or physically wait in old offices for assistance – TurboTax makes it simpler than ever before!

“I do things the hard way a lot,” said Issa when chatting on the set of her first-ever Super Bowl commercial. “I’m always trying to find shortcuts, but then my shortcuts aren’t great. TurboTax is all about making your life easier.”

This spot is the latest chapter of TurboTax’s larger “Now This is Taxes” campaign, which showcases the many ways we’re transforming taxes – all by putting an extraordinary AI-powered app and a network of live tax experts right at your fingertips. It’s a ridiculously easy way to get your refund faster – and all for the very best prices…making it truly ridiculous to file any other way.
