The software still thinks the 2018 HSA contribution limit for an HSA under a family high deductible health plan is $6,750 (which is was it was before the IRS changed it back to $6,900 after a public outcry) It’s $7,900 for those age 55 or older when adding the $1,000 adder for age). For someone making the maximum contribution of $7,900, TT is calculating the extra $150 as an excess contribution subject to tax! (The program may still have the 2017 amounts in there.)
